The swing gets coached.
The at-bat after the strikeout doesn't.

Baseball is a game of failure with a scoreboard attached, and every mistake happens in the open with time to think about it. The skill that separates players at every level isn't avoiding the bad moment — it's how fast they're ready for the next one.

The moments that actually decide it

Moment 1

Strike three looking with two on

He didn't not know. He wasn't ready to decide, and that hesitation is fixable — but not by telling him to be more aggressive.

Moment 2

He throws one away, and now he's aiming

Aiming is what fear looks like from the outside. The next three throws get worse, and nobody on the field knows what to say.

Moment 3

The radar gun at a showcase

A number he can't control, on a board everyone can see, on the one weekend that's supposed to matter.

Moment 4

Benched after an error

He spends the rest of the game trying to prove something instead of trying to play.

What the training is

About sixty seconds a day. A quick check-in, one prompt, and short programs they work through — building a reset they can run on the field, a pre-game routine that fits them, and self-talk that holds up when it's going badly.

Everything reads in baseball language, so nothing sounds like it was written for another sport.

Their journal stays private. Not to coaches, not to parents, not to us. Adults see that the work is happening, never what was written. That's what makes athletes actually use it.
