MMP MIRROR MINDSET PERFORMANCE
In-Person Lessons

Hitting and defense.
Plus the part between the reps.

One-on-one lessons in Hollister and the surrounding area. Swing work, glove work — and the mental side coached right there in the same hour, not sold separately. The kid who rakes in the cage and goes quiet in the box doesn't have a swing problem.

Who's running it

Scott Mead. Sixteen years as a police officer, fourteen years coaching youth ball, three kids in travel sports right now. I've thrown a lot of BP and I've watched a lot of good hitters come apart in an at-bat that mattered.

So we fix the swing, and we fix what happens after the swing they didn't like. Same hour, same coach, no extra charge.

What we actually work on

Hitting. Swing mechanics, load and timing, approach at the plate, what to do with two strikes, and how to stop guessing.

Defense. Footwork, first step, glove work, funneling, arm slot, and getting rid of it clean under a clock.

The part nobody coaches. The reset after a mistake, a pre-pitch routine that fits them, and what to say to themselves when it's going badly — trained in the same session, on the field, where it actually has to work.

What a parent said

My son Abel wanted to sharpen his game at the plate, so we went to see Coach Scott at Mirror Mindset Performance. After just one lesson, his very next at-bat resulted in his first-ever out-of-the-park home run.

Before the game, Abel and I worked in the cage on both the mental and physical approach Scott had taught him. He was able to take that lesson, apply it in a game setting, and immediately reap the benefits.

We've trained at several facilities throughout the tri-county area, and we're extremely happy to find great results locally with an instructor who knows how to communicate in a way that makes sense to a young player.

Dylan S. — Abel's dad Shared with permission. One athlete's experience, not a promise of results — every kid's different and I'll tell you straight what I see.

How it works

  1. Tell me what's going on. The form below, or text me if you have my number.
  2. First lesson we find the real gap. Sometimes it's mechanical. Often it isn't, and I'll tell you straight either way.
  3. They leave with one thing. One cue, one drill. Kids don't hold ten.
  4. Keep it going between lessons. I'll set them up on the app so the mental reps happen on the days I don't see them — about a minute a day.

Goes straight to Scott. Usually a reply the same day.

Looking for the mental game on its own?

Some families want the head work without the hitting lesson — one-on-one or with a whole team. That's a separate thing: mirrormindsetperformance.com/sessions.
